An examination (called tentamen or "tenta" in Swedish) is a test you take at the end of a university course. This test can be written or oral. Your examination will be returned to you after your teacher has graded it.
Examination
An examination is when your teacher or an examiner tests your knowledge through an assignment or test. The teacher or examiner will grade your exam. You cannot appeal your grade; however, you can ask your teacher to re-consider the grade decision. You also have the right to change examiners if you've twice failed the same course or module.
An examination can take many different forms. The following is a list of some of the more common ones.
A written exam with a time limit. The type of questions vary depending on the subject. They can be questions about pure facts, investigative tasks where you must reason through a question, or a problem that must be solved.
A written test that is completed at home. The questions in a take-home exam often require you to reflect on a specific question. You can use other resources in support of your answer.
You meet with a teacher and discuss the subject being examined. The discussion usually lasts a few hours
Beställ examen eller slutbetyg från kommunal vuxenutbildning
Kontrollera noga att vi har fått tillgång till alla betyg som du fått från andra skolor och kommuner och som ska vara med i din examen eller ditt slutbetyg. Har du inte kompletterat med betyg måste du göra det innan vi kan gå vidare med din beställning.
Gör din beställning i god tid innan du behöver betyget. Vi behöver minst 3 veckor (15 arbetsdagar) för att utfärda din examen/slutbetyg från det att vi fått in din beställning.
OBS! Viktigt: För dig som söker till högskola/universitet gäller särskilda datum när beställningen senast ska ha kommit in till oss, se nedan.
Sista dag att utfärda ett slutbetyg - 1 juli
Saknar du slutbetyg från gymnasieskolan och har som mest ca p kvar att studera kan det vara möjligt att läsa mot slutbetyg. Slutbetyg kan utfärdas som senast 1 juli .
Detta gäller för dig som påbörjat gymnasiestudier innan 1 juli , men inte slutfört en treårig gymnasieutbildning. Hinner du inte utfärda slutbetyg innan dess kan många kurser omvandlas för att användas i en examen istället. Tyvärr kan inte alla kurser omvandlas.
Har du bara kurser med betygsskalan A-F kan du inte utfärda slut
IDA - Department of Computer and Information Science
Examination is an exercise of public authority, and because of this, it is of utmost importance that examination is conducted in a predictable way and according to Swedish law. As an exchange student, you are responsible for planning your studies so that you can take all written exams during your stay at Linköping University.
General rule
- You cannot take exams in IDA courses in another location.
- We cannot supervise exams in courses given by other higher education institutions.
Special circumstances
Exceptions to the General rule can be made only in the following special circumstances:
- long-term sickness
- natural disasters
- strike actions
- other particular factors beyond your control
Exceptions can also be made if you are an exchange student who has returned to your home country and cannot or is not permitted to travel back to Sweden. This applies, for example, when your visa is expired.
Examination in another location
If you want to take an exam in one of our courses at another location than LiU, you (not your examiner) are responsible for arranging a suitable location and naming a trustworthy contact person. E
